# Proposition de film de marque Harbour Coffee Roasters | Northlight Films

## Cover

### A brand film that smells like the roastery.

*Proposal · Harbour Coffee Roasters*

A three-minute film and a cut-down suite for launch, built around the people who roast, pour and return every morning.

- Prepared by: Northlight Films
- Date: 14 September 2027
- Valid until: 12 October 2027

## The brief

### What you asked for, and what we heard

*The brief*

Harbour is opening a second roastery and wants a film that makes the new site feel as loved as the first one on day one.

You told us the current website video was shot in a week and looks it: stock music, a voiceover nobody recognises, and no sign of the team. Customers come for the people as much as the coffee, and the film should say so.

We heard three things. The film has to work with the sound off on social. It has to be ready for the 20 November opening. And it must not feel like an advert, because your regulars would know.

## Deliverables

### One shoot, six films

*Deliverables*

Everything is cut from two shoot days, so the hero film and the social edits share one look, one grade and one cast.

### Hero brand film

Three minutes, 16:9, graded and mixed, with licensed music and subtitles. For the website and the opening night.

### Three social cuts

Fifteen, thirty and sixty seconds in 9:16, captioned to play silent. Delivered with native-safe margins.

### Launch teaser

A twenty-second teaser, 1:1 and 9:16, for the two weeks before opening.

### Stills from set

Forty edited photographs from the shoot days for press, menus and the window of the new site.

### Interview rushes

Clean interview audio and selects from each team member, yours to reuse in podcasts or radio.

### Master files

ProRes masters and project files handed over, so a future edit never needs to start from scratch.

## Look and feel

### Warm light, real hands, no gloss

*Look and feel*

Natural light at opening hour, shallow focus on the work, and a grade that keeps the roast looking like coffee rather than chocolate.

*Barista pouring latte art*

*Coffee beans in a roaster*

*Cafe interior in morning light*

*Hands around a coffee cup*

*Interview setup with soft lighting*

*Espresso machine steam close up*

## Process

### Eight weeks from brief to opening night

*Process*

Five stages, each with one decision from you at the end, so the film is never a surprise.

We shoot in week four to leave room for weather and a reshoot day if the roaster is down. Picture lock is a fortnight before the opening.

You see a treatment, a shot list, a first cut and a fine cut. Nothing goes to grade until you have signed off the fine cut.

### 1. Discovery and treatment

A half day at the roastery, interviews with four team members, then a written treatment with references. One week.

### 2. Pre-production

Shot list, schedule, music shortlist and release forms. We cast from your staff and regulars, not actors. Two weeks.

### 3. Two shoot days

Day one at the original site at opening hour, day two at the new roastery. Crew of four, two cameras, sound recordist.

### 4. Edit and review

First cut in ten working days, fine cut a week later. Two rounds of notes are included at each stage.

### 5. Grade, mix and delivery

Colour grade, sound mix, subtitles and all cut-downs delivered to a shared drive, five days before opening.

## Fees

All figures in GBP, exclusive of VAT. Built from our day rates: director 850, DoP 750, sound 450, editor 550. Travel within 50 miles, music licensing and catering are included. Third-party talent is not.
