# Lysne, prêt pour l'Amérique : proposition Shopify Plus headless

## Lysne

### Lysne, ready for America

*Pendant lamp glowing beside a phone with an amber screen*

*Product page design with a glowing pendant lamp*

*Glass interface panels lit with amber light*

*Two phones side by side, one bright and one dim*

*Nordvig & Holt*

## The brief

### What you asked for

*The brief*

You asked for a new storefront before Lysne opens on Greene Street in October. The real deadline is earlier: US press lands in September, and the site is the showroom for every reader outside Manhattan.

Today Lysne runs on the Shopify theme it launched with, bent to fit three currencies. Mobile converts at 0.9 percent against 2.4 on desktop, and a product page takes 4.8 seconds to show a lamp on 4G.

We propose a headless Next.js storefront on Shopify Plus, Sanity for editorial and US pricing through Shopify Markets. If we have any of this wrong, tell us before you read the fee.

## The idea

Most people will meet a Lysne lamp on a phone, after dark.

## The platform

### The platform, piece by piece

Four parts, each designed against one number. Click through them in order: it is the order a US customer meets them.

### A homepage built for the evening

*Homepage design showing a room lit by one pendant lamp*

### Product pages that show the light

*Product page with a colour temperature slider*

### A US checkout that feels local

*Mobile checkout design with express payment*

### One design system, two teams

*Interface components floating in perspective*

## How we run it

### Five phases, two-week sprints

22 weeks from kick-off to launch, then 30 days of support. You see working software every second Friday, never a slide about it.

### 1. Discovery, weeks 1 to 2

Workshops with ecommerce, brand and customer service. GA4, Hotjar and Shopify data reviewed before we draw anything.

### 2. Structure, weeks 3 to 5

IA, the US catalogue model and a redirect map for all 1,140 live URLs, written by hand and tested.

### 3. Design, weeks 6 to 12

Design system first, then the six key templates, tested as a prototype with your real catalogue data.

### 4. Build, weeks 12 to 19

Four sprints on Next.js, Shopify Plus and Sanity. Each ends with a demo on staging and a backlog review.

### 5. Launch, weeks 20 to 22

Two weeks of UAT by your team, a launch freeze, DNS cutover on a Wednesday morning, then 30 days of support.

## Selected work

### Kalk Ceramics, Shopify Plus

*Ceramics storefront on a laptop and phone*

### Bølge Audio, 3D configurator

*Phone with a glowing amber screen on a charcoal field*

### Tvede Textiles, replatform

*Textile product page design*

## Your team

### Who you would work with

Nordvig & Holt is eleven people on Jægersborggade, founded in 2016. These three stay on Lysne from the first workshop to the last support ticket.

### Ida Nordvig

Founder and design director. Leads discovery and signs off every template. Fourteen years in commerce design.

### Mads Holt

Technical lead. Owns the Next.js and Shopify Plus architecture, the performance budget and the launch runbook.

### Signe Bækgaard

Senior product designer. Builds the design system and runs the prototype tests with your US customers.

## Clients

### Clients on the work

> They wrote the redirect map by hand, all 1,140 URLs, and we lost almost no organic traffic in the month after cutover. Our previous replatform cost us a third of it.

— Rasmus Kofoed, Head of Ecommerce, Tvede Textiles

> The design system shipped with a Figma library our own team still extends without calling them. Mobile conversion rose 19 percent in the first quarter.

— Line Østergaard, Digital Director, Kalk Ceramics

> They told us the configurator was wrong for 40 of our 52 products and built it for the 12 where it sells. Those 12 now carry almost a third of revenue.

— Viktor Hald, Co-founder, Bølge Audio

## Assumptions

### Assumptions and exclusions

The parts every replatform argues about, written down before anyone signs.

### Who writes the content, and what happens if it is late

Your team writes and translates product copy for the US; we model it in Sanity and migrate the existing 52 products.

Copy arriving after 9 July moves UAT, and UAT moves launch. We will say so the day it slips, not at the end.

### Browsers and devices we support

The last two versions of Safari, Chrome, Edge and Firefox, iOS 18 and Android 15 and up. Tested on twelve physical devices.

Anything older gets a working site, not a pixel-matched one.

### Platform and licence costs, passed through

Shopify Plus from USD 2,300 a month, Vercel Pro, Sanity Growth seats and Algolia usage. Billed to you directly at cost; none of it is in our fee.

### Performance targets we are held to

LCP under 2.5 seconds and CLS under 0.1 on a mid-range phone over 4G, measured on the product page at launch and again 30 days later.

### Revisions and change requests

Two rounds of revision per template are included. New scope goes into the backlog, priced at day rate, and you decide whether it ships before or after launch.
